The revenue of the Safety tech sector in the UK has risen by 21 percent as compared to the last year. This data is as per The UK Safety Tech Sector: 2022 Analysis.
A growth of 30 percent is reported in jobs which now accounts for 2,850 people, an addition of 650 jobs since last year. An independent report by the Government states that the safety tech sector is one of the fastest growing sectors in the UK, taking into account the whole UK’s tech industry.
The companies in the UK are actively working to come up with innovative services and tools to protect against online harm. This will, in turn, ensure that the online apps, platforms, and websites are safer. There are more than 100 companies in the UK doing so.
As per reports, the UK safety tech sector is on a mission to grow even more. Currently, there are 117 safety tech firms in the UK. Last year, the number was 100.
As per the Trust, Safety, and the Digital Economy report, companies that ensure online safety have seen an increase in user engagement. The users get a sense of security. Hence they trust the brand more. There is also an increased customer and staff retention because of the same reason.
Damian Collins, Digital Minister, stated that the UK firms are developing advanced technologies for online safety. This will prove beneficial not just for the people but also for the business.
UK safety tech sector is leading the world in online safety. Online safety is crucial these days and requires innovative technologies to which the UK is committed, he added.
