The well-known singer, Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, commonly known as Halsey, is not in the best of her health. As per reports, she got food poisoning during her Love and Power tour in the UK.
She stated that she got the symptoms like nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain on Friday. Halsey had to perform on the stage at the Reading and Leeds festival. But right before her performance, she started feeling uneasy.
She stated that she is wondering how she is still alive and breathing, considering how bad her health was. The Stay With Me singer said that her food poisoning was terrible and a bad experience.
She is thankful to the medical team at the festival, who helped her a lot and took care of her. It was because of them that she was able to perform at Leeds, she added.
She is happy and grateful that despite her sickness, she was able to perform. However, the symptoms made her feel that she was on Jupiter all the time. The singer does not want to recall the memory of the terrible experience she had and the distress she had to suffer from because of it.
The Walls Could Talk singer has always been very vocal and open about her diseases. She does not feel shy or nervous talking about it. Earlier in May, she revealed that she has been suffering from multiple diseases such as Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, and Sjogren’s syndrome.
Halsey had to undergo various surgeries, yet she did not let her illness become her weakness. She made it her strength, she added.
In 2017, she attended the Grammy awards, even though it had just been a week or so since her surgery to treat her endometriosis.
The crowd at the UK film festival was very encouraging, and they cheered Halsey a lot during her performance. Halsey also mentioned that it was the energy of the crowd and the loud applause and cheering that gave her the energy to perform even when she was sick.
She stated – “I think every artist, whether they’ll admit it or not, their favorite place to play is in the UK. And I’m gonna get in trouble for saying that right now – there’s gonna be a lot of other people who are really pissed off that I just said that – but it’s true.”
