Euphoria, the HBO series which made news for its success, and is loved by the fans, made headlines again over the departure of the actress Barbie Ferreira from the show.
The 25-year-old actress, who hails from Queens, New York, United States, took to Instagram on August 24 to announce that she will be no more a part of the series. She mentioned that with a heavy heart and teary eyes, she has to bid goodbye to the show.
Barbie Ferreria played the character of Kat Hernandez in the Euphoria series, and she was applauded a lot for the way she essayed her character. Kat was one of those characters who left an impression on the audience.
Barbie, who played Kat’s role in the first and second seasons of the Euphoria series, wrote on Instagram that she is happy that she was given a chance to play Kat, and after four years, she has to let go of the most special role of her career yet.
She hopes that the audience is able to see a part of themselves in Kat just like the way she was able to, and she is hopeful that through her role, she was able to make the audience happy. She has a lot of hope and love for Kat’s character, and she is hopeful that the audience can feel her. With Loads of love and wishes – Katherine Hernandez, Barbie added.
This did not go well with the audience and they expressed their disappointment and frustration via social media. They mentioned that Barbie’s role was given less screen time in the show because of this, she decided to leave the series.

One of the fans wrote on Twitter that Kat Hernandez is one of the best and most important roles in Euphoria, and no one except Barbie could have carried it.
Another user wrote that she would pretend that whatever Barbie wrote on her Instagram post about leaving Euphoria, was not true, she will consider it to be a joke. She will not believe her exit from the show; she will think of it as a twist.
While one of the fans mentioned that he knew this was coming. Considering the less screen time and fewer dialogues she had in the previous seasons, it was very obvious of her to do so. It is a good decision that she took. She should explore better opportunities as she is a very talented actress.
There were also rumors of Barbie’s dispute with the producers and directors over her less screen time. However, Barbie Ferreira denied so.
In response to Euphoria’s fans comment’s, she stated – “Sometimes, things take on a life of their own, and they’re not rooted in the truth, but it’s OK because I know it’s just out of passion and out of curiosity and all that good stuff,” she said. “And I signed up for it. So, I’ll take it. I’ll take the good and the bad.”
