BTS band is one of the most popular groups in the world and also they are at the topmost position that is every time streaming over Spotify in 2021. The band held their first concert in Los Angeles in November last year since the pandemic. The BTS band’s last concert was held in October 2019 in South Korea for their fans, that means just before the pandemic had been fled. On Friday 11 March 2022 at 11.50, United Kingdom, BTS returned to the stage in South Korea for the first time since the pandemic has been started.
More than 100,000 fans of the BTS showed up at the concert but they could not sing or cheer at the concert. But in order to show the fans support, they could only clap or glow sticks from their seats. The management company of the K-pop group, Big Hit Music, reminded the supporters of the BTS on Instagram and all possible media that singing, cheering, and standing up on the seats is strictly prohibited at the concert which is in accordance with the government guidelines.
These guidelines were duly introduced due to the surge in facing Omicron cases in South Korea. The cases were recorded at a daily new high of 342,446 Coronavirus infections, on Wednesday. This estimate has been laid out by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency. During the concert of the BTS, the supporters and fans of the BTS, which they called “BTS ARMY”, wore masks and waved glow sticks and also followed all the government guidelines.
One of the BTS band members expressed to the media how he was so happy seeing their fans again. However, the government guidelines prohibited the fans and supporters of the BTS from singing or cheering in the concert, still, it did not stop them to enjoy the concert.
One of the fans and supporters of the BTS ARMY expressed that, if he can exaggerate, today is the best and most anticipated day of his life. It is a day that he can live for another three years just by watching today’s concert. Masks are compulsory in every public place and transport used in South Korea. BTS ARMY showed their gratitude that how it was so touching to see their fans and their support for the BTS band. Furthermore, it was also revealed that South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has limited each show to 15,000 attendees per night while the stadium’s capacity is 70,000.
