The It’s a Wonderful Life actress Virginia Patton passed away on the 18th of August in Albany, Georgia. As per reports, she was not doing well health-wise and her condition was critical.
Virginia Patton’s full name is Virginia Ann Marie Patton and she was born on the 25th of June 1925. She was born and brought up in Portland, Oregon.

The actress was popularly known for her role as Ruth Dakin Bailey. She played the character of Jimmy Stewart’s sister-in-law in the film.

After her role in the classic film, It’s a Wonderful Life, she did four films, after which she left the entertainment industry. The reason for the same was her marriage to the automotive executive Cruse W. Moss in the year 1949.
She gave a few interviews after her last film, in which she was asked about her decision to leave the entertainment industry. Virginia stated that she was told by a lot of people to think before leaving the industry.
However, the actress was comfortable with her decision and she wanted to enjoy her life post her marriage. It wasn’t that she stopped working after her wedding, but she changed her profession from an actress to a businesswoman.
The actress has three children and she has been married for 69 years. It was in 2018 that the actress’s husband, Cruse, passed away.

One of her co-stars Karolyn Grim who was a child actor in one of the films Virginia starred in, wrote a post for her on her Facebook page. She wrote that another angel has gone to heaven and she is happy that Virginia will now be able to reunite with her love Cruse. You will be missed, she added.
