Kaya Scodelario, the Skins star, recently shared a picture with her former co-stars Daniel Kaluuya and Joe Dempsie. The trio worked together in the E4 teen drama series Skins.
The 30-year-old-actress posted a story on 20 September on her Instagram account @kayascods. Kaya, who has 3.1 million followers on Instagram, posted a selfie with the Game of Thrones actor Joe Dempsie and the Shoot the Messenger actor Daniel Kaluuya.
In the story she posted, Scodelario was seen sticking out her tongue. On the other hand, Kaluuya and Dempsie were smiling in the pic. Apparently, the actors went to attend a wedding, as the photo suggests.
Although, the users could not comment as it was a story. Many fans re-posted the image on their accounts. Some fans posted the picture on Twitter and expressed their happiness seeing the trio together after such a long time. One of the users posted the image on Twitter and captioned it – “My heart. This brings back so many memories. Glad that they are in touch and are friends even now.”
Skins is a British teen comedy-drama series that aired from 25 January 2007 – 5 August 2013 on the E4 network. The former cast knew each other as they worked together in the teen drama series.
Kaya Scodelario played Effy Stonem in the series, Daniel Kaluuya played the role of Kennet, and Joe Dempsie played the role of Chris Miles. The 61-episode series received positive as well as negative reviews from critics. While some praised the casting and plot, others pointed out the unrealistic and stereotypical portrayal of teenagers and the explicit use of drugs.
Skins gave a major break to the actors Dempsie and Kaluuya. The 35-year-old-actor Dempsie has starred in various films after Skins, such as Murder, Pieces of Her, The Gamechangers, and several others. He is popularly known as Gendry Baratheon in Game of Thrones.
Daniel Kaluyya, the 33-yeard-old-actress, starred in Black Panthers, The Fades, Babylon, and more. Apart from Skins, Scodelario has starred in Clash of the Titans, The King’s Daughter, The Maze Runner, Tiger House, and more.
Last month on August 5, 2022, the Skins fans were delighted and could not control their joy after Larissa Wilson, the actress who played the role of Jal Fizer in the E4 Skins, shared a few pictures on her Instagram story with Nicholas Hoult, Kaya Scodelario, and Joe Dempsie.
In the story she posted, the cast was seen enjoying their wine and spending time with Wilson’s daughter. Skins fans were happy to see them together. One of the users who posted the screenshot of the story on her Twitter platform wrote – “My heart is crying right now. I love and adore them so much.”
