The Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio broke up with the actress Camila Morrone. The same was confirmed by People magazine as the Hollywood stars stated about their break-up with them.
Reportedly the couple has been dating since 2017, but they hid their relationship from the public and the media. It was in 2020 that the actors appeared together at the Academy Awards.
The actors have a huge gap of 22 years. However, the actress stated earlier that the age gap does not bother her. She further stated that they are not the only couple in Hollywood with an age gap; there are others too.
Everyone has the freedom to date, anyone they like, she said. Moreover, when you are in love with someone, age really doesn’t matter; what matters is love, she added.
The stars were very passionate about each other and were in a serious relationship. As per the reports, the ex-couple spent the whole lockdown together.
There have been rumors going around regarding their break-up for the past three months. But now the couple themselves confirmed so. The news was a bit surprising to their fans, considering that they were seriously dating each other. The couple was together for four years.
Although Camilla Morrone has done notable work as a model and actor in the industry, she believes that her identity for the past years has been limited to Leonardo’s girlfriend.
It is quite frustrating and disheartening that people recognize me as Leo’s girlfriend. It feels like I don’t have any identity of my own. It seems that whatever work I have done in my career yet has no value or significance, she added.
She further said that she thinks people should not be identified with the connections or relationships they have with popular celebrities in the industry. If someone is a part of the industry, he/she should be recognized for the work, she added.
Although the reason for their breakup is not yet clear, people assume it is because Camille feels that being with Leonardo is only suppressing her identity. She wants to do more in her career.
According to the information, Camille Morrone made her debut in 2014 in the film Bukowski, the director of which was Richard Davies. She has also worked in films like Death Wish, Never Going Back, Mickey and the Bear, and Valley Girl.
Her Television shows include Love Advent, Daisy Jones & the Six. She won the Rising Star award at the San Diego International Film Festival in 2019.
