The Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey was dropped from another project, 1242: Gateway to the West, based on Mongolian warrior Genghis Khan. According to reports, the actor was supposed to play the lead role in the film.
The 62-year-old actor was charged with four counts of sexual assault against three men in the UK. On Thursday, during a hearing at London’s Central Criminal Court, he pleaded that he is not guilty and that the charges against him are false.
However, he was still dropped from the film. The news was confirmed by the producer Bill Chamberlain. He stated that Kevin Spacey would be replaced, and they are looking for a new lead to play the role. Kevin was supposed to play the role of a holy man in the film.
This is not the first project the actor lost due to the sexual assault charges against him. He was earlier removed from the Netflix political series House of Cards, where he starred as Frank Underwood in the previous seasons.
